Ted's Back Porch

I live in the apartment above Ted's old place. Many times in the summer I would walk past his "back porch" and hear him say " hi Barb, how you doin " ? I  would stop when I could and we would have great conversations, everything from weather, neighbors, even yes politics. But most Ted loved to talk about his grandkids. He had stories for each one of them. Lilly watching cartoons with him, Nyeli knowing everything about the world, Alyna the quiet girl coloring, how much Liam looked like him ( ok I said that ) and all the others that I can't remember their names. He loved them all so much. We talked about our aches and pains and I was sure I had the most. But now I know he has none. And I was left with the wonderful memory of getting to know Ted on the " back porch ".
