I have many fond memories of Sue "back in the day" when we worked at the old Dairy Queen in Raymond for Lucy Janhunen. Sue was always funny and pretty much kept me in stitches laughing when we worked together. One day while we were working, I saw something out of the corner of my eye running across the floor. It was a large black beetle looking thing (which turned out later to be a huge potato beetle) and I yelled at Sue to come see it. Sue took one look at that monster beetle, grabbed a "soppy" mop and went for it. She got the beetle and we both ended up cleaning the windows and walls because of the "soppy" mop. It was so funny. I never laughed so hard! We found out later the beetle came from Idaho in a potato sack.
A couple of years ago I saw Sue again at the Chamber building in South Bend. She was still pretty, had the same personality and we had a nice chat. I will always remember Sue. She was a special lady.
