Obituary for Dorothy Isabel Strain (Whetstine)
Dorothy Isabel Strain of Ocean Shores passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was 85. Dorothy was born December 5, 1932 in Monroe, Iowa to Lloyd and Hazel (Holcomb) Whetstine. Dorothy was raised in Monroe and attended Truro High School.
On January 18, 1950 Dorothy married Perry Ray Strain in Casper, Wyoming. He survives her at their home in Ocean Shores.
In addition to her husband Perry, Dorothy is also survived by her daughters Lianna Bunch of Elma, Wash. and Connie Snodgrass of Bucoda, Wash. and son Paul Strain of Blaine, Wash; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
