German Shepherd

When my family and I first moved to Washington from Texas we stayed with Uncle Danny for a couple of weeks. I slept downstairs in my cousin Yvonne's room. Uncle Danny and his then wife Judy had German Shepards who were not friendly. They were trained to attack and we were not allowed near them. Well one night while sleeping I awoke to find one laying across my legs sleeping. Being 5 years old and being told constantly that they bite well I was terrified to move. I layed there completely still for what seemed like forever until I heard someone go in the bathroom. I tried to call out but I think I was so scared that only whimpers would come out. Well when the door opened and the light went out I started to whimper a bit louder. Next thing I knew Uncle Danny was next to my bed and noticed the dog. and removed him from the room. He came back because I was crying and sat with me. He told me jokes and made me promise not to tell my mom because she would be mad at him and not make him tortillas any more. That night he won my loyalty forever, I will miss him so much!
