Roberta “Bobbie” Jean DeNotta, age 78, passed away, at her home, in Aberdeen Washington, on
Dec. 26, 2014 after a courageous year long battle with cancer.
Bobbie was born in Forks Washington, on April 26, 1936 to Alice Johnson and Clifford Fox.
The family moved to Aberdeen WA, in 1945, where she grew up and graduated from
Weatherwax High School. Soon after, Bobbie met her future husband, Donald DeNotta and was
married on May 1, 1954. Don and Bobbie created and ran a very successful business: DeNotta
Landscaping. They operated the business for 35 years until Don passed away. Bobbie then
started a second career at the Central Park School District, working in the lunchroom, where she
touched many children’s lives, until retiring in 2009.
After retiring, Bobbie’s greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She took great pride in her yard, flower garden, and enjoyed her cats. Bobbie always looked
forward to Friday garage sales, playing Pinochle and Bunco with friends, and Friday night
dinners with the girls. Bobbie was always fun to be with. She touched many lives and will be
greatly missed. Her bright spirit and love for all cannot be replicated.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Duane D. DeNotta (wife Caron), DeeAnn DeNotta Langford
(husband Scott), and Susan J. Hubbard (husband Rick). Grandchildren: Joe, Sally Ann, Julia,
Allyson, Troy, Richard and Adam. Great-grandchildren: Ella and Brooklyn Burke. Her siblings
survive her: Sharon Dahlstrom, Aleda Dahlstrom, and Mike Fox. Her parents, Alice and Clifford
Fox, husband Donald DeNotta, Bobbie’s sister Elaine, and brother Gary preceded Bobbie in
death.
Celebration of life service will be Sunday, Jan 25, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Rotary Log Pavilion,
