Obituary for Charles Dean "Dean" Lyons

Charles Dean "Dean"  Lyons
Charles Dean Lyons, age 75, passed away Saturday, Dec, 6, 2014, at his home in Ocosta, Wash. Dean was born Nov. 26, 1939, to Charles Wayne Lyons and Pauline (Martin) Cooper in Brokenbow, Neb. He moved to this area in 1941 and had lived in Montesano, Ocosta and Onalaska. He attended Ocosta and Montesano schools.
Dean married the love of his life Patricia Ann Broten in Montesano on Jan. 30, 1961. Together they raised three children.
Dean worked as a crab fisherman from 1955 until 1978 and then as a dump truck driver for South Beach Construction until he retired in 2004. He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed gardening, clam digging and western music.
Dean is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann, at the family home, his daughters, Julie Ann Lyons Barrio of Tacoma, JoAnn Lyons of Amanda Park, his son, Dale L. Weaver of Olympia, three sisters, Linda Finlayson of Aberdeen, Anne Cleavenger of Raymond, and Tiny Marty of Lewis County, two brothers, Larry Lee Lyons of Grayland and Gorden Cooper of Rochester, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sharon Williamson of Olympia, four brothers, James Bennet Lyons of Rochester, Alan Dale Lyons of Westport, Richard Wayne Lyons of Onalaska and Howard Pearson of Shelton.
Memorials can be made to Patricia Ann Lyons in Dean’s memory.
A memorial service will take place on Jan. 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen Eagles.
