Obituary for Jena Nichole Harrison

Jena Nichole Harrison, 30, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2022 in Aberdeen, WA.  Jena was born
on August 15, 1991, in Saratoga Springs, NY and is survived by her mother Teresa Kerns-Harrison, father
Keith Harrison, step mother Kristen Harrison, her two sisters Taylor Curley and Alexa Harrison, her
maternal grandmother Jayne Kerns, her paternal grandmother Susan Gregory, her step grandparents
Jim and Lynn Dykes, and Joshua Dagama.

Jena attended school in Coronado, California and graduated as an Islander, class of 2009.  While a
student athlete, Jena competed with an unmatched intensity on the field which drove success in
softball, soccer & lacrosse. She was a gifted natural athlete, a true competitor, and an “all in” teammate.

Jena was ambitious and intelligent, which led her career in many directions.  Following high school, Jena
received a Pharmacy Technician Certification from SDCCU and she received her commercial mariner
certifications.  She worked on commercial cruise and sailing tours, and was most recently fulfilling a
commercial fishing partnership with her significant other, Captain Joshua Dagama when tragedy struck.

Her impact on our lives is immeasurable. Jena was fierce, courageous, compassionate, generous, fair,
honest, loving and loyal. Her heart was pure. She will be loved and missed infinitely, but we know she
made us better and will be with us forever.
