Obituary for Annette Wilma Dzubay (Warness)

Annette Warness Dzubay passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2022. She was born to Edwin Warness and Wilma Parker on May 31st, 1942 in Aberdeen, Washington. She was raised in Grayland and attended Ocosta High School graduating class of 1960.

Annette married the love of her life, Stephen F. Dzubay Sr. on February 17th, 1962 at the Lutheran Church in Grayland. They were married for 44 years before Stephen passed away.

Over the years, Annette worked as a keypunch operator in Seattle, Ocosta Elementary School, and as a grower for the Ocean Spray Cranberry association. She attended the Lutheran Church.

Annette loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as knitting, crocheting, reading, bowling, and jigsaw puzzles.

Annette is survived by her sons Steve of Fredrickson, WA, and Ramon (Jennifer) Dzubay of Federal Way; daughters Roberta Merino of Westport, WA, and Debbie (Guy) Thrall of Mesquite, NV; brother Clarence (JoAnn) Warness of Grayland; grandchildren Christopher, Timothy and Dillon Dzubay, Justin Cooper, Kennedy Merino, and Taren Johnston; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen; both parents; and brothers Edwin and Carl Warness.

A service will be held on May 22nd, 2022 at 1 o’clock, at Twin Harbors Lutheran Church in Grayland.
