Obituary for Theresa Colleen Irwin (Teague)

Theresa Colleen  Irwin (Teague)

Theresa Colleen (Teague) Irwin passed away May 1, 2010 at her son’s home after a 6 yr. battle with colon cancer.
She was born April 12, 1958 in South Bend, WA to the late Jim Teague of Montesano and mother Rosalie Russell Teague of Aberdeen. Theresa attended St. Mary’s and Aberdeen High School.
She married Terry Kost in 1975 with who she had two children, James Kost and Jacqueline Kost. They later divorced and she married the late Gary Irwin on February 8, 2006. They lived in Clearwater, WA until Gary passed away in 2009 and she moved back to Aberdeen.
Her son and wife Christina were her caregivers for the past 6 months with help from Harbors Home Health and Hospice, her mother, sister and daughter.
She is survived by her sister, Debra (John) Hnilica; nephew, Derek Hnilica; niece, Natalie ( Justin) Hnilica; Grandmother, Elizabeth Russell all of Grays Harbor. Brother, Stephen (Jamie) Teague Carpenter of Seattle and stepmom, Judy Teague of Montesano; a special cousin Rosanna Bonnell who spent many devoted hours with her along with her good friend Clyde Ellis Jr.
She loved all of her cousins as well of whom included Rocky and Bruno Peraccini, Ron (Theresa) Russell all of Aberdeen, Vicki Weaver, Clay, Kirk, and Rhonda Russell all of Oregon. Theresa’s whole family was very special to her.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, father, stepfather Dan Ekendal, and granddaughter Savannah Colleen Kost who she loved more than life itself.
Theresa loved working in her yard. She had numerous yard statues, ponds, and decorative items. She enjoyed camping, wildlife viewing, trips to the casino with family, and last but not least fishing. Her favorite was fishing for trout on the Clearwater River with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be at the 40et8 club, where she worked for 21 years, Thursday, May 6th from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. potluck.
A very special thanks to Carol Thomas and all the wonderful people from Harbors Home Health and Hospice also a special thanks to Jane Martin for her help and caring.
