Obituary for Joseph William "Joe" Tudor

It is with great sadness that the family of Joe Tudor, 44, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, announce his sudden passing on September 11, 2020 at his home from heart failure. Joe is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife Chandra at the family home along with their two dogs Murphy and Gus. Joe is also survived by his father Gary Tudor and wife Lenneia, his mother Charlene McCarty, brothers Casey Tudor, Darien Potter, Travis Toompas and sisters Amy Ballard and Corie Oliver. Also missing him dearly will be eight nephews and five nieces and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Joe graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1995 where he excelled in football and basketball which cemented his lifelong love of sports. He would never turn down the opportunity to shoot hoops or throw the football around. He was a loyal Aberdeen High School alumni, die hard University of Washington Husky fan, and collector of sports memorabilia. Anyone who truly knew Joe is aware of how passionate he was about the Seattle SuperSonics and still despises Howard Schultz for selling the Sonics away from Seattle. As a matter of fact, he is probably haunting Mr. Schultz as you read this.
Joe made lifelong friends at Stevens Elementary which led to the “South Side Posse” years and then on through high school that still endure today. He was an employee of Grays Harbor Community Hospital for 23 years and took great pride in his work. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time camping with family at Hood Canal. He loved his dogs and treated them as if they were his children. As a season ticket holder of the UW Husky football team, anyone who went with him to a game found out you as soon as you parked the car, you better walk fast getting into the stadium or you’ll be left in his dust, even though you had arrived 2 hours early. Other passions of his were Jeep Wranglers, going to the beach and roads trips with his wife. His down time was often spent searching for vintage UDUB memorablilia.
Joe’s passing has left a great void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. A remembrance of Joe’s life will be held at a later date.
