Obituary for Jacklyn A "Jackie" Simbe
Jacklyn Ann (Reynvaan) Simbe, 82 of Central Park, Washington was born July 21 st , 1937 in Pacific Beach,
Washington to Jack and Georgene Reynvaan. She passed away on Monday March 16 t.h at Summit Pacific
Hospital in Elma, Washington surrounded by family.
During the start of the Pandemic, we were unable to have a service for her so we decided to wait until it
seemed appropriate to gather. As time went by, we decided the emotions would be too difficult for Ray
so now that he has joined her, we decided to celebrate them on November 4 th their 67 th Wedding
Anniversary.
Jackie moved a lot growing up but settled in Hoquiam during her high school years.
In 1955 Jackie Reynvaan met and later married Ramon A Simbe in Aberdeen, Washington. Jackie was a
beautiful woman and Ray was home from the Army when they met. She enjoyed watching Ray race for a
few years and then it was time for a family. Ray said that is when she said no more Racing. Her family
was most important to her as she stayed home to raise her boys. She dedicated her early years to
making home a placed where her family always felt loved, safe, and taken care of. Once the boys were
off to school she volunteered and worked at Stevens Grade School for over 20 years. Spending a number
of those years enjoying her time working with Special needs children. She was a Den Mother for a Cub
Scout Troup, was involved with the PTA, was in the Beta club and still had time to ride motorcycles with
her family. She was an amazing baker and creative seamstress and loved to craft with her friends,
grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She shared a special bond with her grandchildren, step
grandchildren, great grandchildren the many foster children that Mark and Briana have cared for over
the years. She would go to their sporting events, swimming lessons, plays, conferences and always
supporting them. She liked to go to the Casino on occasional, loved to clip coupons and tell us how
much she saved and encouraged us to start doing it even when we teased her. Jackie enjoyed RV’ing to
warm weather where she seemed to always make friends along the way. Because oh she would grow
tired of the rain and look out if the wind were blowing. She said she was not a fan of the wind from the
times she lived near the beaches growing up. Many summers were spent at the summer cabin with
friends, family, and lots of kids running around. She always made enough food for an Army and made
sure no one went hungry. She treated her friends like family and always was concerned for others,
Jackie was a truly special and rare person and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her son Brett (wife Nancy), son Mark (wife Briana). Grand children Rachel Simbe
(fiancé’ Allen), Jereme Simbe, Anisha Simbe, Whitney Edlund (husband Bryce) and Tasha Tipton (fiancé
Josh). Great Grandchildren Hannah, Emilee, Victor Jr., Julian, Chloe, Emilea and Avery.
Brothers Gerald, Keith, Greg and Dennis Reynvaan and sister Sharon.
We share a photo of her so full of life and taken while she was not looking as she disliked having her
picture taken more than any person we knew.
Jackie was placed in her final resting place on March 27 th , 2020 at Fern Hill Cemetery.
There will be a service on November 4 th , 2022 at 11:00 at the Harrison Family Mortuary, followed by a
private graveside service, followed immediately by a celebration of life at the Rotary Log Pavillion. This is
Ray and Jackie’s 67 th Wedding Anniversary and we will come together to honor them both.
