Longtime Montesano resident Elizabeth Susan Kopp passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 77. Elizabeth was born August 27, 1941 in Aberdeen, Washington to Oscar and Elizabeth (Cardwell) Nermo.
Elizabeth was raised in Montesano and graduated from Montesano High School in 1957.
On December 29, 1962 Elizabeth married the love of her life John Joseph Kopp in Elma, Washington. He survives her at the family home.
She worked for many years as a paralegal at Stewart & Thomas Law Office in Montesano.
Elizabeth enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and going to the casinos. She made the BEST potato salad.
In addition to her loving husband John, she is also survived by her sons, John (Courtney) Kopp Jr. of Tumwater, Wash. and Dennis (Robin) Kopp of Bucoda, Wash.; her two sisters, Nora Metzger of Mission, Canada and Tena St. George of Wapato, Wash.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Karl J. Kopp.
There will be no services at this time.
