Obituary for Daniel Leroy "Danny" Isenberg


We lost our beloved Danny to rest in the Lord’s care on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He was such a bright light in our lives. He surely will be missed by many of his family and friends.
Daniel was born May 15, 1936 in Aberdeen, WA to Hayes and Ferrol (Strebie) Isenberg. Danny was raised in Aberdeen.
He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. Danny had worked at Saginaw Sawmill until 1966 and then worked as a cook and bartender. He was a member of the Aberdeen Elks.
He enjoyed cooking, playing pool and spending time with his many friends.
Danny is survived by his soul mate of 25 years, Velda Norton of Hoquiam; two sons, William Kohler of Aberdeen; Jay Freeman of Vancouver, WA; four daughters, Kris Norton of Ocean Shores; Cindy Castle of Portland, Ore., Susie Combs of Elma; two brothers, Eric Isenberg of Moapa, NV; Jerry (Skeeter) Isenberg of Georgia and numerous grandchildren.
A celebration of his life with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the 40 et 8 in Aberdeen. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
