Obituary for Bobby Lee Green

Our beloved patriarch Bob Green, age 80, passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 peacefully while taking a morning nap at his home. He was born in Pawnee Oklahoma to Father Woolie Green and Mother Roxie Perkins. Bob moved from Oklahoma to Seattle Washington where he worked for many years at Todd's Shipyard and also met and fell in love with his wife and lifelong partner Karol Green, who preceded him into the afterlife. They both then moved to Aberdeen in 1991 to be close to family.

Bob and Karol started a business in their home where Karol refurbished antiques and Bob bartered in rusty stuff and just about anything else he found some value in. That business allowed them the freedom to help raise their 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren here on the harbor with whom they cherished every moment.

After Karol's passing in 2016 Bob continued the couple's business, sharing his infectious smile, his loving personality and his precious "Hey little baby" greeting that will remain in our hearts for eternity. Bob did not allow the cancer that was attacking his body to dim his brightness in the slightest. He continued to work hard, fishing with his buddies and loving his family and friends with all his heart.

Bob's son-in-law Jesse Ward along with his daughter and chemo coach Kristy Ward were blessed to have him for so long in their daily lives. Bob was also recently reunited with his son Armond who has helped to fill the void left by his loving father.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Community Church located at 2008 Sumner Avenue in Aberdeen Washington.

We have had many requests from people asking how they can help so we have put together a GoFundMe to help cover Bob's final expenses, which can be found by searching for "Bob Green Aberdeen Wa" on the GoFundMe website. Even if you can not donate please visit the page as the comments left by his friends are heartwarming and healing for the soul.
