Longtime Montesano resident Walter Wyles Foster passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018. He was 88. Walter was born on April 27, 1930 to William and Mary (Bailey) Foster in Wapello, Iowa. He was raised here with his younger siblings and cousins until 1948 when the family moved to Grays Harbor. In 1977 he moved to Portland, OR with his sister Grace Imogene Sizemore. Then in February 1978, Walter decided he missed home and moved in with his brother Virgil Lee and family in Montesano, WA. Walter loved the family home and chose to stay even after his brother and wife moved next door.
Walter worked for a short time at Aberdeen Chair Factory, loved to ride his bicycle and cared for his family with his whole heart.
He is survived by one sister, Grace who lives with their sister in-law "next door". Memorials in Walters name may be made to Harbor's Home Health and Hospice.
