Obituary for Marlene Marilyn Wagenblast

Marlene Marilyn  Wagenblast
Marlene Marilyn Wagenblast of Elma passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at her Elma home. She was 86. Marlene was born on July 21, 1931 in Spokane, WA to Fred and Zelma (Black) Miller. Marlene also lived in Beiber, CA and Klamath Falls, OR before settling in Elma, WA in 1949.

On January 17, 1958 Marlene married Mick Wagenblast in Aberdeen, WA.

Marlene loved to sew and craft. She would often make gifts for family and friends for special occasions or just because. She was actively involved in the Lions Club and the Sharon Grange in Elma.

Marlene is survived by her children Michael Wagenblast of Cosmopolis, WA, Robert Wagenblast of Seabeck, WA, and Norman (Carol) Wagenblast of Lacey, WA and Victoria (Lee) Applegarth of Elma, WA; sisters Noma Streight of Redding, CA and Beth Hamilton of Klamath Fall, OR; daughter in-law Tina Wagenblast of Centralia, WA; 9 granddaughters Darci, Jami, Kacie, Hannah, Kaila, Shantel, JuNae, Misty, and April; 7 great-granddaughters; 13 great-grandsons and another on the way in July. She was preceded in death by her husband Mick Wagenblast and brother Fred Miller.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Satsop Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and potluck reception in honor of Marlene will follow at the Sharon Grange Hall, 912 South Bank Road, Oakville, WA 98568. Memorials in Marlene’s name may be made to Grays Harbor Fire District #5.
