Obituary for Barbara Allyn Harding
Barbara Allyn Harding of Satsop passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Magnolia Woods Adult Family Home in Tumwater. She was 87. Barbara was born on November 11, 1930 in Cedarville, WA to Dewy and Viola (Hughes) Hall. She graduated with the Class of 1948 from Oakville High School.
On December 6, 1948 Barbara married John W. Harding in Chehalis, WA. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Barbara was employed as a telephone operator, caregiver at Oakhurst in Elma and with Elma High School as a custodian and cook.
Barbara is survived by her children Debra Collins of McCleary, Jerry Harding of Satsop, and Brian Harding of Oakville; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Harding; daughter Dorthy Eklund; parents Dewey and Viola Hall; brother Thomas Hall; and sister Dixie Valentine.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Elma 7th Day Adventist Church, 1246 Monte Elma Road, with viewing starting at 12:00 Noon. A graveside service will be held at the Masonic Cemetery in Elma, following will be a potluck reception at the Elma Grange, 401 West Waldrip.
