Obituary for Ronald Jay Westberg

Ronald J. Westberg born July 8, 1960 passed away February 19, 2018 in a car accident. He was born in Olympia and raised in Aberdeen graduating from Aberdeen High School in 1978.

Ron started working at Cut Rate Auto Parts part time before he had his driver’s license; he became a full time employee after graduating. He then transferred to the Elma Cute Rate Auto Parts and spent 40+ years at his job. Ron took pride in his work. He gave Cut Rate his all; all his years and all his heart. Ron had a knack of making every customer feel special and that will be missed by all.

Ron loved gardening and yard work. He also built a pond for other to enjoy.

He is survived by his brother Don (Cheryl) Westberg of Montesano; sisters Karin (Paul) Larson of Aberdeen and Cindy McAlpin of Elma; 2 nieces; 6 nephews; and Alisha Hosford (Will & Graycen). Along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Westberg, father Jack Westberg and a companion of 30 years Shelly Hosford.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Montesano City Hall, 112 North Main Street. Memorials in Ron’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
