Condolence From: Nigel Bromwich
Condolence: It is now almost the anniversary of Uncle Wal’s passing and his nephew, Nigel, and family will be thinking of a dear uncle. My mother, Madge was very close to her brother and we have fond memories of his visits to us in Ellesmere, filling our home with his humour and ‘dry’ wit. He wrote to us regularly, giving us all the news and never forgot us at Christmas. Treasured memories.

Condolence From: Brian, Warwick, Janice and Matthew Gastinger
Condolence: We were so very sorry to hear of the passing of my Uncle Wal. He was the last of the Evans’s of his generation outliving his siblings Eric, Marjorie and my mum Barbara. He was a generous man who was especially kind to me as a boy. I remember each Christmas wondering what amazing ahead of its time ( for us here in the UK) gift would arrive, and It always exceeded my expectations. He continued this kindness to my son Matthew who was so disappointed that he didn’ ever get to meet his great uncle.
My dad Brian has fond memories of our visit to Wal and Elsie in the early sixties when I was a baby, as I do of my visit in the early nineties, where I was shown real hospitality by them.

We are also very sorry not to be able to make the service but our work constraints don’ give us the time.

Condolence: Elsie and family,

I was saddened to see of the passing of Wal. He was well liked and I enjoyed working with him at Lamb. I always particularly liked to hear him talk with his lovely soft accented voice.
He certainly lived a full life and will be missed.
