Obituary for Robin Harry Erickson

Longtime Cosmopolis resident Robin Harry Erickson passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Virginia Mason Medical Center. He was 83. Robin was born on August 6, 1934 in Porter, WA to Charles and Zelma (Troyer) Erickson. Robin moved throughout Grays Harbor before settling in Cosmopolis in 1957.

On December 5, 1957 Robin Enlisted into the U.S. Army. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, a Sharpshooter (Rifle) Badge and a Expert (Carbine) Badge. Robin served two years.

While in the Army, Robin married Juanita Erickson on June 11, 1958. They spent many years of marriage together before her passing.

When Robin was not working as a Longshoreman he enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt. He also stayed active in the ILWU and local V.F.W.

Robin is survived by his sons Brian Erickson of Olympia, Aaron Erickson of Tacoma, and Curt Erickson of Florida; and brothers Richard Erickson of Lynnwood and Jesse Erickson of Elma . He was preceded in death by his loving wife Juanita, parents Charles and Zelma, and siblings Albert, Carl, Neil, Marie, Betty, Anabell, Eugene and Gerald.

A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 in the chapel of Harrison Family Mortuary, 311 West Market Street, Aberdeen. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cosmopolis. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Rotary Log Pavilion, 1401 Sargent Blvd, Aberdeen immediately following the graveside service.
