Obituary for Gerald Francis Lake

Aberdeen resident Gerald “Jerry“ Francis Lake passed away at Grays Harbor Community Hospital on Saturday, October 14th, 2017. He was in his 80th year. Jerry was born to Albert and Frances Lake (Kopp) in Tacoma on March 3rd of 1937 and lived there for 43 years. On May 31st of 1974, Jerry married Delores Naomi Goodyear and six years later, they moved to Grayland. Jerry was also a member of the Air Force. In his free time, he enjoyed watching television and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry is survived by his sons Jerry (Patty) Lake and Danny (Anne) of Tahuya, Jason Lake of Cosmopolis, Eric (Kim) Lake of Castle Rock, step-son Jack Goodyear-Renee of Aberdeen, daughters Jaqueline Lake and Belinda (David) McMichael of Tacoma, step-daughters Lisa Goodyear and Daphne (Greg) Nelson of Aberdeen, Terri (Shell) Clarke of Oregon; sister Elaine Huml of Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Frances Lake; wife Delores Lake on August 21st 2017; and siblings Don Lake and Carol Wepsalal.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 29th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Jerry’s residence at 716 Water Street, Aberdeen, Washington.
