Obituary for Scott Donald Dunn

Scott Dunn worked for the Bethel School District for the past 16 years. During that time, he served as a Special Education Teacher supporting staff, students, and families at Rocky Ridge Elementary and Frederickson Elementary.

Always thriving to continue his education knowledge, Scott completed his administrative credentials and four years ago, he became part of the district’s Special Education Team, serving as a Special Education Coordinator. In this role, he supported buildings, teams, and families across the district.

His warmth, support, inspiration, and servant leadership has had a positive impact on all that he came in contact with. In addition to his time in Bethel, Scott touched the lives of many in the community as a professor for Lesley University, Tacoma Community College, and Pacific Lutheran University. His legacy will live on through the relationships he fostered and the many he mentored. His dedication to learning and his child-centered focus will be missed.

Scott is survived by Jeff, Cole, Brooke, his mother, Diana, his brother Adam (Melissa), his nephews and many other beloved family members and friends. His legacy lives on with the students, families, community members, and colleagues that he supported. A remembrance will be announced at a later date.
