Obituary for Lee Franklin Rice

Lee Franklin Rice passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his Elma home. He was 82. Lee was born in Harrah, WA on November 30, 1934 to Charles and Chattie Rice. He then joined the U.S. Army at 18yrs of age serving in the Korean War.

On December 31, 1977 Lee married Pamela (Gibson) Rice in Seattle, WA. Together they enjoyed 40 years of marriage.

Lee spent many years employed with the Seattle School District as a custodian. When he was not working he could be found looking for new clocks for his collection or enjoying the outdoors.

Lee is survived by his wife Pamela A. Rice of Elma, WA; son John L. Robijn of Seattle, WA; daughters Nancy Harnarnar of Mena, AR, Tammy Heathington of Grandbury, TX and Cindy A. Silva-Robijn of Burien, WA.; and brothers James Rice of Moses Lake, WA and Bert Rice of Tempe, AZ. Along with 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Marlyn M. Berry and Jean E. Williams.

Lee will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Satsop Cemetery. A gathering will follow at the family home.
