Condolence: A person goes through life and can count on one hand true trust worthy friends. Our stories and memories were ongoing until last Monday when the Lord decided his work was done. His sense of humor was solely unique, but for those of us that shared a relationship with him, we always knew to expect the unexpected. A smile was brought to my face during the interactions on the phone or in person. One day he and I fished out of my boat. I told him just to bring a lunch I will have everything else. We anchored and I handed him a lure (old beat up but a fish catcher). I proceeded to tie on a new one. I will never forget the look on his face as he looked at me, the beat up lure, look at my new one, and then back at me. He said nothing. I said just tie it on. With all of trips and shenanigans together I know he felt the other shoe was going to drop. We trolled about 40 feet and I watched his pole take off and I asked “do you have a fish” and in his normal high pitched response he said “yeeea”. He caught all of the fish that day. As we were loading the boat on the trailer I said “you thought I was messing with didn’t you”? He had his trademark reply “ well ..I..maybe ..yea ..okay. As we pulled onto the highway I looked in the mirror and my hair was all over the place and I ask him “how does my hair look? He said “fine”. He then took his hat off and asked me how his looked? I said “fine” … all one of them’? To all of his family may you remember the wonderful moments knowing all of us have the memories that will last forever.
