Condolence: So many years have passed since we last saw each other. My heart hurts for you all. The memories are many of my own loss so I know only time and the love of family can mend the crevasse in your heart. I offer my prayers for courage to heal, as you must go on, taking comfort in all the love that surrounds you.

Condolence From: Jerry and Jeannine Phillips
Condolence: Had hoped to be there for you and your family today Chuck, but my chemo schedule at Providence bumped those plans. Will look forward to a conversation with you after the huge number of your friends begin to resume their busy lives.

Jeannine and I will always remember Linda for her contagious smile and spirit that lifted the hearts of those fortunate enough to meet her.

It quickly became obvious that she had welcomed the presence of her Savior and Lord into her life. She has been so happy to have a husband who shares that faith in the Lord with her.

Linda and you have given us who are parents a good look at what it means to love our children ... when it is easy to do so and when the tough times come as they do to most of us. Thank you for that.

Linda seemed so young in many ways that it is difficult to realize that you had 61 years of marriage. Glad that you have the treasures of memories from times together in Maui and Montana as well as here in your busy lives as enthusiastic volunteers in our city, county and beyond.

Together you set the bar high for members of other Monte churches by the way that the two of you gave 3rd mile support to Pastor Dave Yarbrough and Louise during their ministry with the First Baptist Church .... and how you stayed with the congregation when they moved east. Pastor Randy Brown and his wife found the same love and support from you as they came to Montesano to lead the congregation.

One more thought ... one of the Providence RN's in the chemo clinic heard me mention Linda's name in my conversation with my daughter and wife yesterday. She came over to my chair and told us how she loved Linda ... that she was sad to learn of her death ... that Linda had been her instructor at Grays Harbor College.

Wow ... what a legacy ... her marriage with her sweetheart, her family support, her years of worshiping the Lord with you, her professional, teaching and volunteer careers.

The Lord sure knows how to build a beautiful life ...

We pray that He will comfort you by helping you to see with eyes of faith all that has been prepared in advance for Linda's arrival in heaven ... never again for her to have pain or even a hint of sadness as she looks forward to having you with her again when the Lord calls you home to join her.

With our love and respect for you both,
Jerry and Jeannine Phillips

Condolence: Chuck & family-so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Stan & I are in Maui & it somehow feels fitting as I know how much she loved it here. We shared many experiences with both Dr Craig & Dr Pouw. Linda was a very caring person with patients and even more so with her family. She will be mossed.

Condolence From: Gayle Willinger Jones
Condolence: I will forever remember my childhood playing on the beach with Linda May, a feisty "older sister." It was 1948 in Paradise Cove in Malibu. It was then a simple trailer park, but to us it was indeed paradise. Our mothers were best friends and we stayed in contact after both families moved.
Later she married Chuck (best decision she ever made!)and moved to Montesano. I always looked forward to hearing about her ever growing family via cards and phone calls, and later e-mails. Finally, we enjoyed time together when I visited her a few years ago, and my husband and I went to the wonderful 60th anniversary last year given by her loving family.
Linda was down to earth--no pretentions--with an easy laugh. I will treasure our memories. God bless Chuck and her family, Gayle

Condolence: Charlie and Family,

A neighbor for nearly twenty years, a client for many years, and a wonderful friend, I will miss Linda very much. She always had a beautiful smile, and she shared it often. We always knew her to be upbeat and positive. We shared a love for Hawaii, and she also talked about her love for Montana. What a wonderful lady. You will all miss her so, but all of our lives have been enriched because we knew Linda.

Sincerely,
Don and Gee
