Obituary for Josephine Ann Zarevich

Josephine Ann  Zarevich
Josephine Ann Zarevich, 99, a longtime Grays Harbor resident died January 15, 2009 at her daughter’s home. She was born June 10, 1909 in Delnice, Yugoslavia, to Rudolph Ozonich and Katherine (Briske) Ozonich.
She and her mother came to America when she was 14 months old, meeting her father in Utah, later moving to the Rosland-Cle Elum area, then to Oxford Prairie and growing up there.
On June 8, 1929 she married the love of her life Steve Zarevich. They were married for 41 years. He later died in January of 1970.
She loved to garden, play bingo, sew and crochet beautiful hangers and give them to all of her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Aberdeen Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Aberdeen Grandmothers Club. This beautiful lady will be missed by all.
Josephine is survived by her son Steve Zarevich and daughter Joanne (Harry) Eaton. Her grandchildren Janet & Eric whom she adored. Also grandchildren Roy (deceased) Doug and Virginia of Canada. Three beautiful great grandchildren Jared, Jayce and Jax Eaton, also Eva, William, Brianne and several great grandchildren of the Kelso Longview area. Her son John (Jack) Stevens (Elaine) of Canada and her brother John Ozonich preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2009 at Harrison Family Mortuary located at 311 W. Market St. in Aberdeen. Burial will follow beside her husband at Fern Hill Cemetery with a reception to follow at Harrison Family Mortuary.
