Stephen A. “Spike” Nicman, 61 years of age and lifetime Harborite, died on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at Providence St. Peter Hospital unexpectedly during surgery. He was born on July 9, 1954 in Aberdeen, WA to Floyd and Loha (Beal) Nicman.
Stephen spent 41 years married to his wife Mary (Ferguson) Nicman in Aberdeen, WA. He attended JM Weatherwax High School. He took great pride in being a truck driver, working the last 29 years for Northwest Rock. He loved spending time at his Wynoochee property, cutting firewood, and drinking coffee with his buddies at the Blue Beacon. He was a great jokester who could make you laugh no matter what mood you were in.
His family remembers him as being a great father, grandfather, and gentleman who was nice to everyone he met.
Stephen A. Nicman, is survived by his son, Nathan A. Nicman (and his wife Nicole) of Spokane, his daughters Esther Pavletich of Elma, Elizabeth Nicman of Olympia, and Michelle Roffler (and her husband Adam) of Aberdeen, 6 grandchildren, Jack Pavletich Jr, Aiden Nicman, Judah Roffler, Annalee Roffler, Emma Roffler, and Elsie Nicman, along with one brother Stan Nicman of Bothell.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the Harbor Calvary Chapel in Aberdeen, with reception to follow.
