Obituary for Alice Elaine Lisle (Muma)

Alice Elaine  Lisle (Muma)
Alice Elaine Lisle, a Montesano resident, passed away on February 23, 2016 at the Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam following complications due to a stroke. She was 83.
Alice was born on March 1, 1932 in Hoquiam, WA to Levi and Doris (Butcher) Muma and was raised in Aberdeen. She attended the old Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen. On June 23, 1950, she married Elmer “Ike” Lisle in Montesano. He survives her at the family home.
Alice worked as a talented seamstress for Waugh’s Men Store doing alterations and worked in retail sales at JC Penney. She also worked at various restaurants. Alice was a benefit member of the Elma Eagles Auxillary and a lifetime member of the Hoquiam VFW. She also belonged to the Trail Jockeys Jeep Club.
Alice’s favorite hobbies included bowling (avid bowler for 43 years!), playing bingo, hunting and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play.
In addition to her husband Ike, Alice is survived by her son Mike (Kim) Lisle of Elma; daughters Paula Shiflett (Ted Heidenreich) of Aberdeen, and Teresa Hamby of Federal Way. Brother Paul Muma (Mary) of Lake Stevens; 7 grandchildren: Shawn (Lilian) Hamby, Shanelle Hamby, Shara Hamby, Jeremy (Crystal) Shiflett, Stephanie Shiflett (Ryan Hudson), Michael (Sarra) Lisle, Robby (Jamie) Lisle; 9 great grandchildren: Anthony Hamby, Savannah Hamby, Natalia Shiflett, Haileigh Shiflett, Olivia Jarvis, Jordan Lisle, Ali Lisle, Noah Lisle, and Aila Hamby. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Otis DeLong, brother Howard Muma, sister Jerrie Morse, and stepbrothers Robert and Jack DeLong.
A Celebration of Alice’s life is scheduled for February 27, at the Country Estates Clubhouse, 57 Clemons Rd, Montesano WA 98563, from 1-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Grays Harbor Fire District#2 (Attn: Chief Johnson) 6317 Olympic Hwy, Aberdeen, WA 98520 or the March of Dimes.
