Obituary for Linda Carol "Lin" LaTrajet (Foss)
Linda C. (Foss) LaTrajet, 67, of Ocean Shores passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam.
Linda was born June 27, 1947 in Centralia, Washington to Lester and Lillian (LaBrec) Foss. The family lived in Rochester during her pre-school years and then moved to Montesano.
After graduating from Montesano High School in 1965, she moved to Ocean Shores and attended Grays Harbor College. She soon moved to Seattle to work as a file clerk for New York Life Ins. Co. and within a few years transferred to the home office in New York City where she instituted a computer program in all major US cities that replaced “file clerks”. She retired from New York Life and returned to Seattle, eventually settling in Montesano to help her mother in her later years before moving back to Ocean Shores. In her last years she did medical transcription work and managed teams doing the work online. She also wrote inspirational books that she published and sold.
Lin was self taught in multiple languages. She was a creative artist and writer and made and marketed jewelry. Lin enjoyed walking on the beach at Ocean Shores. While she worked in NYC she made many trips to the Bahamas and was accomplished at sailing.
Linda is survived by four brothers , Les (Ruth) Foss of Montesano, Lanny (Jean) Foss of Metairie, LA, LeRoy Foss of Las Vegas, NV and Larry (Janice) Foss of Montesano and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Terry Foss.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th at Shores Fellowship Church located at 694 Weatherwax Loop NE in Ocean Shores, WA.
Contributions in her memory are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or to Shores Fellowship Church.
