Obituary for Martin Thomas "Tom" Cummins

Martin Thomas Cummins of Ocean Shores, WA passed away peacefully at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 65. Tom was born April 7, 1950 in Medford, Oregon to Thomas and Betty (Young) Cummins. Growing up his family traveled and lived between Joplin, Missouri and the south King County area; they settled in Washington where he graduated from Tyee High School in 1968.
Following high school he enlisted in the Air Force Reserves.
On September 15, 1979 Tom married Delores Elder in Kent, Washington. She survives him at the family home.
Tom had worked as a spar mill operator for Boeing, retiring after 27 years.
Tom enjoyed fishing, walking on the beach and rooting for the Seahawks (12th man). Tom loved his 12 grandkids and being with his family.
In addition to his wife Deloris, he is also survived by sons, Thomas Cummins of Bonney Lake. WA , Tony Schmid of Fairbanks, AK, Jason Schmid of Buckley, WA; daughter Carrie Burbidge of Orting, WA; his sister Janice Boccamazzo of Buckley, WA and 12 grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Assoc. or Susan B. Komen Foundation.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
