Kenneth Lee  "Ken"  Courts Sr.
Lifelong Grays Harbor resident Kenneth Lee Courts Sr. passed away at his home on Friday May 1, 2015. Ken was born June 22, 1929 in Aberdeen to Herbert and Eliza (Ellis) Courts.
Ken was raised in Hoquiam and had also lived in Copalis. On April 1, 1961 Ken married Patricia Lee Hagedorn in Montesano. Pat passed away November 25, 2010.
He had worked for Union Pacific Railroad and then Weyerhaeuser as a truck driver retiring in 1990.
Ken was a member of the Montesano Moose Lodge and the Elma Auto Racing Assoc. He loved to rebuild old vehicles his favorite was a Model A.
Ken is survived by five children Herb Courts of Aberdeen, Lonnie (Deanna) Courts, Debbie Simpson (Courts) both of Hoquiam, Lillian Dokke (Courts) of Aberdeen, Tamara Courts of Tenino, WA; step daughter Jerri John Vinson of Henderson, KY, 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Ken was also preceded in death by three sons, Bill McCleod Courts, Kenneth Jr., George Toby Courts and three step children, Dennis , Timothy and Teresa John; two brothers Glen and Harry Courts, two sisters Evelyn Morton and Lillian Courts and two grandsons Jason Dokke and Christopher Courts.
