Russ was born on February 15th 1956,at Fort Lawton Army Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Russ left this earthly world on November 7th 2014 to fish the heavenly waters. He was raised in Longview and attended R.A. Long High School. Russ then moved to Whidbey Island with his wife to raise their children.

Russ was known for his excellent skill in hunting and fishing. Russ was also a patient teacher. Not only did he pass down his passion for fishing and hunting to his children, he also mentoring many other local children by coaching South Whidbey Basketball and little league teams on Whidbey island for many years.
Russ is survived by his mother Betty & Roger Barnhart, father Bob & Lorraine Allen, daughter Meggan & Brion Luboch, son's Jason &Carrie Allen, Tyler & Kenzie Allen, brother Mike & Laura Allen, and six grandchildren Micah, Carson, Tucker, Braedon, Nashton & Quinn.
The family would like to invite you to a celebration of Life and potluck on Friday December 5th at 2:00. At the Clinton Community Hall located at 6411 Central Ave Clinton Washington.
