Obituary for Carolyn Ina "Carol" Turley (Irwin)
Carolyn Ina Turley passed away unexpectedly at her home in Hoquiam on Thursday, November 4, 2014. She was 62. Carol was born December 14, 1951 in Brewster, Washington to Elmer and Ina (Hockersmith) Irwin and raised in Cathlamet, Washington.
On October 9, 1993 Carol married Michael R. Turley at Black Lake Community Center in Olympia. He survives her at the family home.
Carol was a hard worker and worked at Grays Harbor Community Hospital for the past 15 years as a housekeeper on the second floor. Prior to moving to Grays Harbor in 2000 Carol owned and operated her own beauty salon.
When she was a young lady Carol belonged to the International Order of Rainbow Girls. Carol loved doing jigsaw and word puzzles. She enjoyed sewing and going to the ocean. She especially loved sending time with her family, her dogs and loved all animals.
In addition to her loving husband Mike, Carol is also survived by two step-sons, Eric Turley of Yakima, WA and Robert Turley of Tulsa, Oklahoma and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sister.s
