Obituary for Ronald Fredrick Kok

Ronald Fredrick  Kok
Ronald F. Kok, 75, of Hoquiam, WA passed away in the early hours of August 28, 2014 while surrounded by family. Ron “Pa” Kok , son of Fredrick C. and Neva M. Kok was born September 13, 1938 in his grandparents’ home in Cosmopolis, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dale Kok and sister Mardelle Kain.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Diane R. Kok (Reick); his three children, Darell (Rebecca) Kok of Yakima, WA, Rhonda (Donald) Davis of Auburn, WA, and Dori (Don) Stillwell of Kalama, WA.
Pa has 7 grandchildren, Drew and Jasmine Kok of Yakima, WA, Douglas and Jennifer Davis of Auburn, WA, Brett (Ashley) Stillwell of Kalama, WA, Dee (John) Butcher of Kelso, WA and Jon (Jessica) Stillwell of Woodland, WA.
Pa enjoyed watching his great grandchildren grow. They are Elijah, Jocelyn, Brayden, Alexx, Xander, Jaxon and Jacob.
Ron a life resident of Gray Harbor minus the 11 years employment took him out of the area, graduated from High School in Aberdeen in 1956. Ron was employed by Interstate Asphalt and Lakeside Industries prior to retiring in 1994.
In his early years, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and clam digging. Later in life his favorite activities included gardening, wood working and going to the casino. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation is made in the name of Ronald F. Kok to the American Cancer Society Great West Division, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice. A date for his memorial service has yet to be determined.
