Obituary for Erik Wayne Eberwein

Erik Wayne  Eberwein
Long time Aberdeen resident Erik Wayne Eberwein passed away at his home Sunday August 24, 2014. He was 29. Erik was born February 2, 1985 to Clifford and Judy (Blackburn) Eberwein and was raised in Aberdeen. Erik had also lived in Hoquiam, Cosmopolis and Montesano.
Erik worked for Crane Creek Cedar Co and also as a Commercial Fisherman.
Erik was very proud of his Quinault Indian Nation heritage and loved his family. His friends all describe him as a gentle giant and a man who had a heart of gold. Erik would give the shoes off his feet or the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed what he could give. He was a man with a loving spirit and a friend to everyone who knew him. He loved to laugh and dance but the true love of his life and what put a smile on his face quicker than anyone could was his daughter Mikhaila who he cherished.
Erik had many hobbies which included fishing, clam digging, and anything that was outdoors. He was an avid fan of Star Wars.
Erik is survived by his daughter; Mikhaila Eberwein, his father and step mother; Cliff and Cheryl Eberwein, sister; Malia Tanner all of Hoquiam, brother; Daren Eberwein of Aberdeen, his grandmother; Lydia Blackburn and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Erik was preceded in death by his Mother; Judy Lynn Blackburn who passed away in 2008,his brother Gary Hall, and his grandparents Jim and Mary Eberwein, and grandfather Jack Hawks.
There will be a viewing for his friends and family on Tuesday September 2nd from 2-5 in the afternoon in the Chapel at Harrison Family Mortuary 311 W. Market Street in Aberdeen. A funeral service will be held at the Harbor City Church, 1700 Cherry Street in Aberdeen at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 3rd with Pastor Doug Cotton officiating. Followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam.
Memorials may be made in Erik’s name to a charity of your choice.
