Long time Aberdeen resident Claudia Daisy O’Donnell passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family by her side on Friday August 1, 2014. She was 70. Claudia was born on June 25, 1944 to David and Cora (Petrak) Ingle and raised in Wenatchee as well as Seattle. Claudia graduated from High Line High School in 1962 and moved to the harbor in l977.
Claudia worked at Grays Harbor Country Club, Mason Timber, Preszler, Larner and Mertz, Tom Baugher and Assoc. as well as Berene and Assoc. Upon full time retirement, she worked part time for her son, Patrick. Claudia’s work ethics were beyond reproach. She was admired for her integrity, respected by her peers, and loved by so many who came in contact with her.
Since her retirement she began to travel more. Her most recent trip was in May, where she visited among other places, Rome, Sicily and Croatia. Claudia was a supporter of the 7th Street Theater, The Bishop Center and Driftwood Players. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Guild from St. Mary’s Church. Claudia was very proud of her sons and their accomplishments in their lives.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Luke from Calvary Lutheran Church; caregivers, Denise Stewart and her team and all those who showed extra ordinary care, love and respect in her final days.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Team Bob 2631 Queets Hoquiam, Washington, St. Mary’s School 518 North H Street, Aberdeen Harbor’s Home Health and Hospice 201 7th Street, Hoquiam. Claudia is survived by her sons; Patrick O’Donnell of Gig Harbor, and Andrew O’Donnell of Aberdeen; her sister; Sandra Luckett of Burien, Washington, her brother Arthur “Skip” Ingle of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; two grandchildren; Keira O’Donnell and Lamonte Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of her life on September 6th from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Log Pavilion.
