Ralph Newman  Tucker
Ralph Newman Tucker of Aberdeen, Washington passed away Sunday June, 1, 2014 in Grays Harbor Hospital. He was 80 years old. Ralph was born October 29, 1933 to Ernest and Eloise (Lawton) Tucker and was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Ralph married Avalon (Hines) in 1970. She passed away in February of 2007.
Ralph proudly served in the United States Air Force from July 23, 1952 until he retired March 1, 1973. He then went to work for Tudor Trucking in 1974 until 1977 and then started and ran his own small trucking company, Tucker Valley Trucking, until his final retirement in 2003.
Ralph was a member of St. Andrews Church. He loved to collect stamps and coins and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.
Ralph is survived by his daughters; Ruth Marie Davis (wife of Daniel N. Davis, Jr) of Hoquiam and Linda Marlene Franchino of Yuba City, California, 3 grandchildren; Michael Fox, of San Bruno, CA, Stephane Fox, of Hoquiam, WA, Stuart Sisler of Yuba City, CA, and one great granddaughter; Layla Dillon of Hoquiam, WA.
Along with Ralph’s loving wife Avalon he was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Thelma Maguire.
There will be a viewing at St. Andrews Church from 12:00 till 1:00 p.m. Friday June 6, 2014. Funeral services will start at 1:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service with military honors at Fern Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church after the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Aberdeen, WA.
