Obituary for Wayne McMillan Sims

Wayne McMillan  Sims
Wayne McMillan Sims passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 93. Wayne was born March 17, l921 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Aubie and Grace (Woody) Sims. He was raised in Guernsey Wyo. and graduated from Sunrise High School.
Wayne worked as a meat cutter for Safeway and a car salesman for Brumfield-Twidwell. He belonged to the VFW-115th Calvary and the Moose Lodge. Wayne loved baseball, bowling and playing golf.
Wayne is survived by his daughters: Rowayne (John) Hill of Centralia, Washington, Cathy (Don)Sims of Onalaska, Washington, Donna (Larry) Wilson of Hoquiam, Washington, Sharon (Thom) Morgan of Montesano, Washington, and Sally (Phil) Bourgault of Olympia, Washington, one sister; Madge Kingman of Los Altos, California and one brother; Jack (Signe) Sims of Las Vegas Nevada, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with Wayne’s loving wife he was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Alma (Sally) David and a brother; Ernie Sims.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Satsop Fire Department.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. May 22, 2014 at the Wynooche Cemetery with Military honors. A potluck reception following in the Montesano Moose Lodge no. 1210.
