Patsy Jean Vandel, 62, of Hoquiam passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam. Patsy was born December 29, 1950 in Seattle, WA to Douglas and Dorothy (Harney) Cherry Sr.
Patsy was raised in West Seattle, attended Roswell New Mexico Training Center and had also lived in Forks before moving to Grays Harbor in 1987.
On May 7, 1970 Patsy married the love of her life Richard Vandel in Everett, WA. He survives her at the family home.
Patsy had worked at the Red Lion Motel, CAP, Pacific Care Center and was a home care provider.
She loved Facebook games especially Pet Ville, collecting nick-naks and playing board games.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her sons, Richard Vandel Jr. of Tacoma, WA; James (Wendy) Vandel of Manchester, NH; a brother, Douglas Cherry of Manchester, NH and a sister, Kathy Williams of WV; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Jeff Vandel who passed away in 2009.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, February 16 th at 525 8th St. in Hoquiam.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Relay of Life.
